OVERRIDE SESSION SCHEDULED FOR MAY 6th

Legislative leadership, supportive of an over-ride of the Governor’s veto of bill SB 229, met with Governor Herbert to try and negotiate with him, but he wouldn’t budge on his position, therefore an over-ride session is scheduled for the morning of May 6th The House and the Senate need two thirds to over-ride. a veto.   The media is backing the Governor’s veto and is not giving the correct information.   This bill is critical to the future of road building in Utah and if vetoed could mean years of unfunded road projects and going backwards in Utah’s
economic development.   Please weigh in with your legislative representatives to support an over-ride of SB  229 so Utah can maintain and build on the economic investment and road building that will be needed.
